Winamp 5.61 is the latest desktop client release and is available for download now. The latest update includes a revamped automatic playlist generator, a new Winamp toolbar that is compatible with the upcoming Firefox 4 and Internet Explorer 9 browsers, and lastly support for the latest Winamp for Android 1.0 release.
New Winamp Toolbar Features
The toolbar has received a complete make over with the Winamp 5.61 release to bring the best of Winamp to your browser.
The toolbar allows you to control Winamp playback directly from the browser. Manage playback with the player controls and view the current Now Playing song on the toolbar without needing to open Winamp. The latest release of toolbar shows off an updated skin to to match Bento (the default desktop skin) and the new Winamp for Android app.

The SHOUTcast feature on the toolbar gives you more ways to browse and navigate through thousands of SHOUTcast internet radio stations. Find the station that you want to listen to and tune-in to launch the station in Winamp.
Share the Now Playing song on social networks Twitter, Facebook and AIM. When you want to share the song, simply click the social network you want to publish your message and we'll include all the song details for you to post.
The web search has also been updated with enhanced Google search. This search is localized and targeted for your region to provide more relevant results. Results are even translated to the region you are searching from.

Media monitor allows you to play media from any webpage directly through Winamp. For example music from you favorite blog can be played through Winamp. If you leave the page, Winamp will continue to play the music.
